A New $1 Million Commitment to Women's Health Research, Thank You Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health

The Alberta Women’s Health Foundation (AWHF) is proud to celebrate a major milestone in our ongoing mission to close the gaps in healthcare for women.
As a founding member of Women’s Health Collective Canada (WHCC), we are thrilled to announce a renewed partnership with the Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health, backed by a $1 million investment over the next two years. This vital funding will support an area too long overlooked: menopause research and care.
This latest commitment builds on a growing movement—one AWHF is honoured to help lead—that puts women’s health equity front and centre. With continued support from national partners like Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health, we’re accelerating change across Canada, including here in Alberta.
Together, we’re working toward a new, evidence-based standard of care for menopause — one that ensures every woman, no matter where she lives, has access to the support and treatment she deserves.
