Surveying the Silence
We stand for women and women’s health. A new report, the second of its kind from the AWHF, reveals the toll that taboos have had on the health of women in Alberta. "Surveying the Silence: Exploring the impact of taboos in women's health" shows the issues that have created a culture of silence that limit access to knowledge and care, leading to detriments in overall mental health and well-being. These taboos revolve around issues specifically related to a woman's anatomy, such as menopause, endometriosis, PCOS, painful periods and PMDD, pelvic floor dysfunction, and more. We invite you to read the full report, share it within your circles, and join us in our ongoing mission to #RefocusTheResearch
